ABOUT DR. PETROSINO ,
Antonia Petrosino was born in Chicago to Italian parents. After several years in the United States, her family decided to move back to Southern Italy to attend to her grandfather. It was an extreme cultural transition and Antonia worked very hard to learn to speak correct Italian and do well in school. She was accepted at "Tor Vergata" Dental School in Rome and graduated cum laude in 1998. After working 1 year in the capitol and coming back to the US for vacation, Antonia decided to move back permanently to realize her "American dream". She was accepted at UIC Dental School and passed her boards to practice dentistry in Illinois. Dr. Petrosino has several publications in dental journals and has always shown interest in Orthodontics. She also attended the USDI institute, has done considerable work in Orthodontics and is also trained and certified in INVISALIGN. She loves Cosmetic Dentistry and enjoys treating pediatric patients as well. Dr. Petrosino has been practicing Dentistry in the Chicagoland area for almost 20 years, working as an associate for different dental practices. In 2019, she purchased her own practice and is determined to do her best for patients. Dr. Petrosino is extremely passionate and dedicated. Your dental needs and health are her priority. She is honest, caring and will accommodate your schedule. She listens carefully to your concerns, is very patient and offers complimentary Aromatherapy to minimize your dental anxiety. Dr. Petrosino speaks fluent Italian and is verse in Spanish and Polish. We welcome new patients and are excited to be part of the community, offering dental services in a relaxing and comfortable environment.

Antonia Petrosino
Dentist
Dr. Antonia Petrosino was born and raised in Chicago, IL and has lived in between the U.S. and Italy her entire life. She was accepted into Dental School at the University of “Tor Vergata” in Rome and in 1998. Dr. Petrosino moved back to the US and attended the University of Illinois in Chicago, passed the State Boards and obtained her license to practice dentistry. Her love and dedication for her profession translates into the best possible care for her patients. Dr. Petrosino resides in Deer Park with her daughter.
Mari Duran
Manager
Mari has been in the dental field for over 20 years and is an insurance specialist. She is in charge of the schedule and is responsible for submitting your dental claims. Mari has taken multiple classes over the years and is an expert on how to maximize your dental benefits. She is extremely dedicated, hard working and welcomes all patients with a smile. Dr Petrosino and Mari have a history of over 10 years working together side by side and taking care of patients needs. Mari is happily married and lives in Northlake with her husband and twin sons.
John Reader
Dentist
Dr. John Reader has dedicated most of his life to dentistry and has built this dental practice from scratch, 1 patient at a time. He is compassionate, a perfectionist and an excellent dentist. He is working less nowadays, focused on "passing the torch" to Dr. Antonia Petrosino and completing cases he started. He is an accomplished artist and genealogist in his spare time. John is happily married to Ali Reader and resides in Cary.
Outstanding practice! DRS. Petrosino and Reader work very well together and make my time in the chair quite entertaining. And they do great work. Dr. Petrosino takes the time to thoroughly explain her work and bends over backwards to ensure I am comfortable through each step the work being done.
Dr. Reader is one of the rare dentists that performs all of the services himself and that leads to better overall care as he is extremely thorough throughout the process. He was able to diagnose a problem with my teeth that 3 other dentists had missed and thus has saved me thousands of dollars. On top of his proficiency, he is also a friendly person who is engaging and understanding. There are a lot of dentists in the far Northwest Suburbs but Dr. Reader should be at the top of the list for those people looking for a dentist they can trust to take care of them.
Not that I have anything against the dental hygiensits of the world, but there's something nice about a dentist who handles everything himself. They are welcoming, withan at-home, neighborhood feel. The work was quality and Dr. Reader is obviously proficient at what he does.
Covid-19 UPDATE
At Admired Smiles maintaining oral health, as well as overall health, and the safety of our patients, team and community is our top priority. As we adjust to this new normal, we want to create an environment of well being and safety across the board. For that reason your next visit may be a little different than before.
We continue to strictly follow all universal precautions as recommended by the CDC and OSHA for patient care, sterilizing instruments, disinfection rooms and the entire office. We have increased frequency of disinfecting of high traffic areas. We limit the number of people in our reception area and the operatories. Doctors and team members have additional personal protective equipment approved by the CDC, ADA, and WHO including face shields, gowns and masks.
We work actively to ensure our doctors, dental team and patients are COVID-19 symptom free. We have invested in state of the art technologies such as surgical grade air purifiers and advanced intraoral and extraoral suction systems to terminate aerosols, filter and purify the air constantly during the day.
We are excited to be seeing everyone again soon.
